Research Interest
Una M. Ryan research area is the molecular epidemiology of infectious agents, particularly the use of genotyping tools for improving detection methods and for studying transmission dynamics. My group works on the molecular epidemiology of enteric parasites such as Cryptosporidium and Giardia and blood borne parasites such as Babesia, Theileria and Trypanosomes. Ryan also interested in novel therapeutics for pathogens.
