Biography

S. Jithender Kumar Naik, currently working as Professor of Zoology at Osmania University, Hyderabad, India. He did his Master Degree in Zoology from Osmania University in 1992, M.Phil in Animal Sciences from University of Hyderabad in 1994 and awarded Ph.D in Zoology from Osmania University in 2000. He has 20 years of research and 17 years of teaching experience in the fields of Toxicology and Occupational health; Reproductive Biology; Environmental Biology; Fisheries and Limnology. Produced 6 Ph.D’s and 12 research scholars are currently working for their Ph.D degrees under his supervision. He has published 45 research papers in reputed International Scientific Journals. Authored 8 text books in Fishery biology, fish Ecology and Post harvest Technology, Published by Govt. of Andhra Pradesh State In India. He also authored and Edited 4 Practical manuals in diversified areas of the subject for Post graduate students. Attended 20 International and 65 National conferences and presented scientific papers, chaired the sessions and delivered Key Note Lectures. Organised 2 National Conferences sponsored by UGC. Completed 3 major research projects funded by UGC. He is the member in several reputed scientific organisations in the country and also abroad. He is also member in several committees of the University and other constituent and affiliated colleges of the Osmania University, Mahatma Ghandi University and Palamoor University.
